New Little Free Pantry at BPL

In early July, the Bennington Junior Girl Scouts of Troop 48834 built and installed a new Little Free Pantry on the east side of the library. This pantry aims to address food scarcity and hunger in Bennington and surrounding communities. Along with helping those in need, the troop hopes that it also fosters community pride and unity.

If you would like to make a donation, please ensure that any items donated are non-perishable. Canned vegetables or protein, rice, beans, and nut butters are some great examples of foods to drop off. Additionally, verify that the items aren’t expired.

Now you’re ready to donate! Donations are able to be dropped off at The Little Free Pantry any time, which is located on the east side of the library near the park. Whether picking up or donating, please also check for expired items in the pantry and properly dispose of them. This helps the Little Free Pantry to be a consistent, safe, and reliable resource for community members.

Thanks again to the Bennington Junior Girl Scouts for their hard work!
